Icestar

Description: A medium-sized young tom that's grey (top of the face, ears, and tail) with darker streaks on his tail and white on the bottom half (Nose, chest, legs belly). One of his eyes is green and the other blue. But the difference is subtle. Pushed into leadership too young. Does his best to disguise the anxious wreck inside.

Past: Pigeon was a rogue forced to live off Twoleg garbage when he came across a hunting patrol led by then Thunderclan leader Treestar. He impressed the she-cat with his quick tongue and soon became the apprentice Icepaw. Icepaw had a troubled apprenticeship in which he struggled to work in tandem with the other apprentices. His mentor, Streampelt (she-cat) died while saving him from an aggressive hawk that threatened the forest. Instead of being given to another mentor, Treestar made him a warrior, Icefeather. A name that recalls his unscathed landing after the hawk dropped him from a great height. Icefeather didn't love this name. His story was more than just a fall. The other apprentices also did not like the name, but their animosity had more to do with it not ending in 'paw'.

After becoming a warrior,  He had an apprentice, Longpelt, but they never had a close relationship. Longpelt felt like Icefeather was an incompetent mentor and Icefeather resented him for being popular among the clan. After a fight with Shadowclan, the mentor and apprentice became closer but not close enough to keep their relationship strong after Longpelt became a warrior. After patching up the relationship with his apprentice, Icefeather was on the path to becoming a better liked, if unremarkable, member of the clan when the older cats started spitting up blood.

This 'Redcough' quickly swept through the entire clan, yet Icefeather seemed mysteriously immune. When the deputy, Redtooth, succumb to the disease, Treestar made Icefeather deputy. This was not because he was the most senior warrior, but because he was the only healthy cat in the clan. Icefeather would have soon gone back to being a warrior but Treestar suddenly died and he suddenly found himself the leader of a clan of born warriors.

This was last leaf-bare, and though the clan has recovered from redcough, it has left Thudnerclan weak. Icestar struggles to maintain the respect of his clan, many of which feel one of the more senior warriors, like Lightfur, should have been leader. They resent him for not stepping down from deputy when Treestar died and they wonder if he will be the end of Thunderclan.

"Treestar, you can't make Icefeather deputy, even if it's only temporary. You can still smell the rogue. He could be a strong warrior one day but that is not today."
"Calm down, Puddlefoot. It will be fine. I know he's not ready but I'll be fine. We just want to remind Riverclan that we can still fight. You'll still have to deal with me for a while longer"

Name: Emberstorm

Description: Large ginger tabby she-cat with white chest and paws. Amber eyes.
Past: Emberstorm was born in Thunderclan alongside her littermate, Flickerpaw. They were very close, but an accident in their apprenticeship caused Flickerpaw to lose his right hing leg. Treestar did not believe he could continue his warrior training and apprenticed him to the medicine cat, Puddlefoot. Flickerpaw and Emberpaw drifted apart.

Emberpaw started to spend more time with the other apprentices and was one of the only ones to feel more sympathetic than jealous toward Icefeather when his mentor died and he became a warrior.

When redcough struck the clan, Flickerpaw soon succumbed to it, leaving Emberpaw deeply saddened.

She became a warrior shortly before Treestar's death and is relatively inexperienced, leading to many questioning why she was made deputy. Neither the medicine cat nor Lightfur are happy about this...

Lightfur,

Description: A large reddish tabby Tom with a white jaw.

Past: Lightfur was the senior warrior, who expected to become deputy when Redtooth died. But he had been suffering from Redcough and Treestar had chosen Icefeather instead. When Treestar died he and Puddlefoot asked Icefeather to step down and let Lightfur become leader but Icefeather refused.

Puddlefoot

Description: A brown-white cat with a spiral pattern on their side and piercing blue eyes

Past:
Puddlefoot was born a she-cat but they have always acted more like a tom. At this point they are just a medicine cat.
When redcough struck the clan, Puddlefoot expected to join Starclan and worked tirelessly to save as many cats as they could. their apprentice, Flickerpaw was on the verge of becoming a full-fledged medicine cat and Puddlefoot expected him to take over. Instead, Flickerpaw died of redcough and Puddlefoot remained alive. As Flickerpaw lay dying, Puddlefoot refused to give him a warrior name, convinced he would survive the disease.

Name: Longpelt

Description: A young handsome grey tom with dark green eyes.

Past:
Longpelt was Icestar's first and only apprentice. He's always been ambitious and felt like Icefeather wasn't a strong enough mentor. After the two got caught by a Shadownclan patrol and protected each other's backs, mutual respect started to form. He survived the redcough.

Relationships:
On fine terms with Icestar.

Name: Froststar
Dead - Dark Forest
Rank: Ostensibly former leader

Description: A silver tabby tom with matted fur and amber eyes.

Past: Froststar claims to have been the former leader of Thunderclan, but Treestar never spoke of him during her time as leader. He claims to want to see Thunderclan rise to its former glory, and isn't afraid to get his paws dirty if it means achieving his goals.

Name: Ruefur

Description: A gray she-cat with blue eyes.

Past: Ruefur is an experienced hunter and fighter who has mentored several apprentices. Once, she had ambition to be leader, but when she found she was with kits, things changed.
Unfortunately, during her time in the nursery, her kits were stolen by a fox. She was never the same after that.
While she was once an outspoken and respected warrior, she seemed to shrink into herself after her kits' death, and no longer offers her opinion.

Name: Squirreltail

Description: Ginger tom with a large, fluffy tail.

Past: He was an enthusiastic apprentice, but some of the bounce went out of his step when his father died of redcough and his mother was caught in a fox trap.
He took this as a lesson to be cautious, as life in the forest is never safe.
He was a little hurt when Icestar chose Emberstorm and Hollyfoot to be the new kits' mentors, as he has never had an apprentice and believes he has a lot to teach.

Name: Adderspring

Description: Small, light brown tabby she-cat

Past: Adderspring was always the bravest cat in her litter. She was always reaching to take on new challenges and would push herself harder in training than the others.
She was a little too headstrong when she started as an apprentice, but learned restraint with the help of her mentor, Ruefur.
On a patrol, she scented a badger and helped her littermate and the former deputy Redtooth to drive it off, but she sustained a serious injury, and even Puddlefoot could not stop her journey to Starclan

Name: Owlclaw

Description: broad-shouldered dark tabby tom with amber eyes

Past: Owlclaw's mother named him and his siblings after fierce predators in hopes that they would grow up strong and fierce. Owlclaw's sisters, Adderspring and Dogflower, certainly displayed the courage and ambition that their mother hoped for, but Owlclaw was always more timid and preferred to resolve disputes with his words rather than his claws.
He was a poor fighter, and his warrior ceremony was held back because of his lack of confidence.
He only got his warrior name after his sister, Adderspring, was killed by a badger. Treestar praised his bravery and fierceness in driving off the badger, but all Owlclaw could think of was the loss of his littermate.

Name: Dogflower

Description: Pretty dark brown tabby she-cat with amber eyes. White paws and belly.

Past: Dogflower was always a step behind her sister. She believes that drove her to be a better warrior, as she was always working to keep up with Adderspring.
Her sister's loss devastated her, although it also brought her greater opportunity in the clan. She feels guilty that her sister's death led to more cats giving her praise and attention.

Name: Crowtalon

Description: Large, long-haired silved tom with yellow-green eyes.

Past: Crowtalon and his mother was looked down on by several of the older clan members for reasons he didn't understand. She never explained this to him and, he feels, never protected him from the scorn of his clanmates.
He trained hard and became strong to show his clanmates they were wrong about him, and several of his peers grew to respect him.
He is younger than Lightfur and respects the older warrior, as Lightfur was never unkind to his family. He believes Lightfur should have been leader, not Icestar, and tells his kits the same thing.

Name: Lilythroat

Description: Pretty black she-cat with white fur around her throat. Green eyes.

Past: Lilythroat grew up alongside Crowtalon and always admired the warrior for his strength and determination. She never understood why some cats whispered about his loyalty.
She worked hard to become a strong warrior, hoping to share her life with him someday.
He was oblivious to her affections for a long time, but after she confronted him about not noticing her efforts, he started to notice what a strong and capable warrior she was.
They became mates soon after and quickly had kits. She's happier in the nursery than she was as an active warrior and is expecting a second litter.

Name: Darkriver

Description: black she-cat with yellow-green eyes. It's hard to tell her apart from her littermate.

Past: Darkriver always felt her brother got more attention from her father. No matter what she did, Fogleap seemed to do it better, in Crowtalon's eyes.
She's grown resentful of her brother, and they often fight.
She doesn't have much confidence in Icestar, but she supports him when her father is around just to antagonize him.
She got her warrior name when she saved her brother from a rushing river. She doesn't tell anyone that she considered letting him drown.

Name: Fogleap

Description: handsome black tom with yellow-green eyes. It's hard to tell him apart from his littermate.

Past: Fogleap realized early in kithood that he wasn't a she-cat, as his lot her initially assumed.
His father seemed proud to have a tom-kit, and he realized he received a bit of preferential treatment over his littermate. However, he didn't say anything against it. It was nice to get praise and recognition from his father.
He can tell his sister resents him, but he feels he owes her something after she saved him from nearly drowning. He is trying half heartedly to patch things up with her, but is unwilling to confront his father about his unfair treatment of them.
Fogleap notices now and then how the last remaining elder regards him and his littermate with suspicion, but doesn't know why.

Name: Sandwhisker

Alive? Yes

Description: once-powerful sand-colored she-cat. She has scars all over her body.

Past: Sandwhisker remembers a time before Treestar, and even before the leader who preceded her. She was the only elder to survive the redcough epidemic.
She is usually quiet and cranky, but treats most kits and apprentices respectfully.
However, cats who were around during Darkriver and Fogleap's apprenticeship might remember her hissing at them whenever they tried to change her bedding or remove a tick.
